Ahmedabad (Gujarat), India, March 29 (ANI): The Adani Group plans to venture into Indian professional golf through the introduction of the 'Adani Invitational'. Golf 'Championship 2025,' in conjunction with the Professional Golf Tour of India ( PGTI ), the governing body for men's professional golf in India.
The Adani Group project aims to increase the reach of golf, enhance its reputation as a popular sport, and nurture future international champions from India, according to an Adani statement.
The first competition, with a prize of Rs 1.5 crore, will take place at Jaypee Greens. Golf & Spa Resort in Greater Noida, scheduled from April 1-4, 2025, marking PGTI His comeback to the location after 11 years.
