Who's Out at the US Open? Defending Champ Bryson DeChambeau Misses Cut, Rory McIlroy Barely Qualifies

We've been monitoring the projected cut line at the U.S. Open to see who could made and missed the cut at Oakmont Country Club . There were a lot of stars who need a good second round to play the weekend. Masters champion Rory McIlroy entered the day at 4 over par and did just enough to make the cut, while Justin Thomas, Justin Rose, Wyndham Clark and Ludvig Åberg weren't so lucky. Scottie Scheffler avoid a bad day and stayed alive, but the biggest name to fall was reigning U.S. Open champ Bryson DeChambeau, who shot a 7-over 77 on Friday. Shane Lowry and Min Woo Lee missed out, too, while Justin Hastings was the only amateur to make the cut, which was made official Saturday morning after play was suspended due to weather Friday.
