CS Duale Announces: SHA to Settle Hospital Claims by the 14th Monthly Deadline

The newly appointed Health Cabinet Secretary, Aden Duale, has guaranteed health care providers that starting from now, the Social Health Authority (SHA) will handle and pay all hospital claims by the 14th day of every month. The objective of this move is to simplify payment processes and ease the financial pressure on health care institutions. On Tuesday, Duale formally took office, succeeding his fellow Environment Ministry colleague Deborah Barasa. On his inaugural day, Duale presented an extensive plan aimed at transforming the nation’s healthcare sector, emphasizing fiscal responsibility, better service provision, and superior patient treatment. He restated the administration's dedication to maintaining effectiveness and availability in community health care facilities.
